Stoel...

Stoel had us sketch and shade these awesome scenes. This one was my favorite. Although we were under a time limit for each sketch I believe this one turned out well.

Still Life?

These I was very impressed with. I enjoyed drawing and shading them. Still life, though? I think not. It is very hard to be the object of a still life. I learned this from experience. You have to get in a comfortable position that you can hold for a long time. I had trouble with that!

The Circle Drive

This is the shaded site proposal for my "rock." It is right outside of the Gatewood building in the center of the circle drive. I had a lot of fun with the trees.

Sketch Model Sketches

These are shaded sketches of my sketch models. As you can see from my project zine that I dropped the pentagonal shape and stuck to the cube.

Time Capsule Zine

This zine is for our time capsule project. My proposal is a gradually polished rock that will be installed outside of our Gatewood building in the center of the traffic circle across the street. It's final dimensions will be 6'x6'x6'. It is to represent us as students who start at very rough and gradually develop in our five years of the program and finally are polished in the real world that we all plan to enter. This program is also a very solid one, hence the rock!

Interiors Zine!

This is my first design research zine. I enjoyed making it. I need to learn more about Adobe Illustrator in order to make it more professional looking.

stairs?

well... I didn't really like these very much but these were the best ones out of the series!!

self-portrait!

I enjoyed doing this project. I had a lot of fun exploring new media and expressing myself.

Exercise your shade hand!!

these are my best shading exercises. using pen was kind of difficult, i think i like pencil better!

Shading!

So I've done some shading before and was never really good at it! I like the way these look though!

metamorphisis?

the morph process... this project was fun for me, kind of upsetting, but fun. it was an adventure to change around and mess with other peoples ideas.

A soft Place to land.

Wow... this one started out rough. This is my container for a memory! I was in a motorcycle wreck, was thrown 20 yards, and didn't receive a scratch. Kind of a supernatural experience - God-encounter type thing, but this resulted as my design and iterations for this project. It was difficult to actually grasp the concept but once I found it, it worked.

A Pencil Box: 50's Style

I really enjoyed making this! I like the 50's style straw holders in the old timey diners, so I decided to mimic that in my pencil holder!

Negative Space Face?

After much strife, I finally got this posted also! I don't like it much but i drew what I saw, like where the light hit my face most. It looks pretty creepy, I'm not really a fan.

The Egg Project Found

I finally got this dang thing up!!! Enjoy the crispix goodness!

Portrait Series

This girl had some awesome hair. This was just the contour line... it was crazy!

Portrait Series

This is a portrait of brother, Ben! haha! I think I got better at portraits as I continued to draw them.

Portrait Series

Drawing a Face... Very Intimidating at first but I started to like it!

Blind Contour

I finally found my hand blind contour! This is awesome!

The Eaters at the EUC

The EUC on campus is where many students and faculty alike go to eat and relax. It was the perfect place to catch my next victims to draw.

We're Goin' Downtown!

These are my downtown drawings. I really enjoyed the simplicity and beauty of downtown!
